Had a Mini Split Installed and it's not blowing cold anymore?
Symptoms and Problems

Symptom: "My mini split is still cooling but not like it used to last year"
Problem: The unit was installed with a leak at the flare connections
Solution: Remove the freon, create leak proof connections and recharge.

Why We Can't Simply "Service" a System We Didn't Install

When a mini split is installed incorrectly and has a freon leak from day one— even if it appears to be running — hidden damage can accumulate over time. As licensed contractors, we assume liability the moment we connect our gauges. Without knowing the full history of an installation, we cannot in good conscience certify a system we didn't build from the ground up.

The questions we have to ask about any existing installation:

  • ?Was a nitrogen purge and pressure test performed at original install?
  • ?Was air allowed to enter the refrigerant lines during installation?
  • ?Was a deep vacuum pull completed and held to spec?
  • ?Were proper gauge manifold and charge procedures followed?
  • ?Were flare connections formed correctly with calibrated tooling?

Without answers to these questions, internal damage — compressor wear, moisture contamination, oil migration, or micro-leaks — may already be present and difficult to detect. If we service the system and it fails later, we bear the liability. That's not fair to you or to us.

Want Your Existing System to Finally Run Right?

A reinstall is not a tune-up. It is a complete recommission of your refrigerant circuit — performed as if the system were being installed for the first time, to factory standards. This is the only way we can stand behind the work with a warranty.

Important: We accept reinstall requests on systems no more than 2 years old. Beyond that threshold, the risk of pre-existing internal damage — compressor wear, refrigerant contamination, or moisture ingress — is too high for us to warranty the outcome. We want to set you up for success, not inherit someone else's problem.

2-Year Leak Warranty

Every Professional Reinstall & Certification we perform is backed by a 2-year leak warranty on all flare connections and line set work. If it leaks, we fix it — no questions asked.

Same unit — same wall. Clean line set cover, black base pad, professional finish.

Our 6-Step Reinstall Process

01

Recover All Refrigerant

Freon is fully recovered using certified equipment — nothing is vented.

02

Cut & Re-Flare Line Ends

All existing flare connections are cut off. New, professionally formed flares are created to factory specification.

03

Nitrogen Purge & Pressure Check

Lines are purged with dry nitrogen and held under pressure to confirm zero leaks before any refrigerant is introduced.

04

Deep Vacuum Pull

A micron-level vacuum is pulled and held to remove all moisture and air from the refrigerant circuit.

05

Recharge to Spec

Refrigerant is weighed in to manufacturer specifications — not estimated.

06

Performance Verification

Delta-T, superheat, subcooling, and airflow are verified against factory performance specs.
